I could feel the car daring me to go just a little faster. I skipped second and shifted straight into 3rd gear as I descended onto the freeway ramp. It held the road with a confidence so strong that your feet began to absorb it through the pedals.
Bretzen (pretzels), beer, and crusty pork; in that order, are the things that excite me about Germany. Crispy, salty, buttery and chewy pretzels. The kind that give Auntie Anne nocturnal orgasms at night. Twist, rip, and let your teeth do the dirty work to make a meal of that salty mass. After your arteries are hard as bricks, you thank God for the cold pint of Lager.
Jensen drove us to the peninsula town of Mölle about one hour south of Mellbystrand. The town was silent. On one corner, mannequins were dressed and hidden behind poles like urban scarecrows staring privately upon your homesick soul in the hope that you would turn heel and leave the town in peace, or face mortal consequence.
